JC Mackintosh is the first and only Spanish Bluefin Tuna (Thunnus Thynnus) fishery with MSC Sustainable Fishing Certificate. This certificate is the most prestigious and rigorous in the world in sustainable fishing. There are only two other bluefin tuna fisheries in the world that have it. Our bluefin tuna is sustainably fished under strict quota regulations, catch standards and traceability controls. We use a fishing method that minimizes the animal's stress and we apply techniques that maximize the quality of its meat, such as the Ike Jime method.
